It looks like mine craft, but it doesn’t play like mine craft. Most people describe it as a tower defense, and that is exactly how you defend your base at the moment (although adding more enemies may change that some day). It has a very satisfying amount of progression and automation, similar to Factorio (which has inspired a few systems already). You start off struggling to hire and feed new colonists, and soon you have a thriving city limited only by your production.
The most important thing about this game is you can have a lot of people working for you. Similar to Rim world or Dwarf Fortress. But in those games you get about 200 dwarves or 20 colonists and that’s pretty much as big as you will get (without mods/adjustments). But in Colony Survival you can go farther. A lot farther.
